Asset Enhancement Initiatives - 9 Chong Yip Street
Following the acquisition of 9 Chong Yip Street in early 2014, we have promptly embarked on a large-scale asset enhancement program involving the building exterior as well as the common areas, with the goal of fully unlocking the property's potential and reflecting its strategic location in Kowloon East.
Information and progress of the AEIs
Well ahead of the completion of the acquisition, we had planned an asset enhancement program to modernize the building with designs in line with similar properties in the vicinity. The program is expected to be completed by the first half of 2015, and encompasses the following works:
- Renovation of the lower portion of the external façade
- Renovation of ground floor lobby
- Renovation of passenger lift lobbies, common corridors and common washrooms on typical floors
- Construction of a rooftop garden
The acquisition was successfully completed on 22 January 2014. Our planned AEI program subsequently commenced in March 2014.
